2018 cruise blogs

My name is Chelo, I'm Mexican and some of you already follow me on twitter  @chelo_mx

I've been writing a NKOTB Cruise Blog for years in SPANISH, We've seen tons of useful blogs, tips and groups in English but I felt the need to help some of my BH sisters that don't speak the language. Apparently it has helped them and that makes me really happy

But now, some of my English-Speaking friends have asked me to translate some of my Spanish blogs into English.
It's is a huge work to do the write the whole blog ALL OVER again, and like I've said there are a lot of GOOD ones out there, So I will post some of the "Generic Info" that can be helpful for everyone.

It has to be said that I'm not a native speaker, so please forgive me for my grammatical and spelling mistakes.

So, here we go!!!

SOUND THE HORNS AGAIN

Some of these are from previous cruises (some are still useful, I'll update others ASAP)  just keep coming back and take a look

I've tons of other blogs, but they are written in Spanish.
If you are  interested, I've place a gadget on each that will translate it into English or other languages.
Remember that is a "Google" translator, so it may sound funny or it won't make any sense at all

*Click in the link and look for the gadget on the right (under the menu, as shown on the following picture) and select your language.

Lista para empacar

If you need it in ENGLISH click HERE

2018 Cruise Blog

TU decides qué llevar y qué no.

No empaques artículos prohibidos.

° Wine Bottle opener
° Alarm Clock

(just added 10/11 )

I know it is a LONG list and I don’t want you to over pack, but I’ve been adding stuff that people have asked me to, so it’s up to you to pack what you think you’ll need.

I don’t encourage the use of over the counter meds, etc. It’s your responsibility what you pack!!
Kuddos if you can manage just a carry-on

Some people like to separate their outfits and accesories per day or theme night using ziploc bags or packing cubes.

Although some things are sold on board, they are EXPENSIVE.

REMEMBER that Carnival’s BEVERAGE POLICY has changed (Check their official site)        Guests are no longer allowed to bring on board water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages packaged in bottles.
A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, and milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought onboard on embarkation day and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person.
Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception:
  • At the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750 ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne per person in their carry-on luggage.
  • A $15 USD corkage fee (a charge exacted at a restaurant for every bottle of wine served that was not bought on the premises), per 750 ml bottle, will be charged should guests wish to consume their wine or champagne in the main dining room, steakhouse or bar.
Shampoo is provided on board, if you want to use your own brand or need special conditioner, be sure to pack it- Cabins only offer shampoo, and soap
Talk to your roomies, and decide who brings what on board so you can share.
Some people pack: Door shoe organizers (the ones with pockets) or foldable drawers or baskets to organize toiletries and stuff and have additional space in the counters, and bathroom.

In case you didn’t know there are LAUNDERETTES and GUEST IRONING rooms onboard with available irons, ironing boards (free of charge), washers and dryers. (Check $) for using those.

Remember to check with your Airline’s size and weight limits and Carry On Luggage Restrictions
Follow TSA (Transportation Security Administration) regulations, including:
3-1-1 for carry-ons = 3.4 ounce (100ml) bottle or less (by volume); 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring.

Don’t pack restricted items.   For international BHs: check and follow your Countries’ regulations and Guidelines.

BH "Never" over pack, yeah right
